In July 2023 BVU will have tryouts for all age groups, U9-U19,  for placement on our 2023-2024 BVU teams.

In January 2024, tryouts for Summer 2024 Teams at the U9-U12 age groups will be held at Savage Dome.

Tryout Results:

·     Team placements will be communicated by notification email from BV United Club‘s Administrator.

·     After teams are posted, players and families will have 48 hours to decline their place (by 11:59pm on July 30 or August 3). Notification of declined placement must be in writing to: clubadmin@bvunited.org AND director@bvunited.org. An initial $100 payment will be charged to the credit card provided, and player registration will be processed for all players that do not decline placement. 

·     For the U9-U12 age groups, tryouts will be for Fall 2023 season only, with new teams formed in January, 2024 for Spring/Summer 2024 teams.

Players who register after tryouts will be placed on a waitlist for review by our Directors.

Additional Details:

·     Players who wish to tryout at an older age group must send an email to clubadmin@bvunited.org AND director@bvunited.org at the time of registration.

·     All age group levels of play are at the determination of the Technical Director and DOC. Teams at each age groups will be listed as Volt and Gray. For example: U18B Volt and U18B Gray or U10G Volt and U10G Gray. Team status (level of play) will be confirmed prior to governing body’s deadline after more time together to ensure the team is appropriately placed.

·     Winter training for all non-NPL teams begin January 2, 2024.

·     It is our goal to have coaches in place for all Volt teams prior to tryouts.

·     For U13-14 teams, Summer 2024 teams will be posted first. Fall 2023 teams will be posted as soon as possible. If you are a fall only player, your placement depends on room available on team rosters.

 
What to expect on the day of tryouts?

• Arrive 30 minutes early 
• Check-in at your specific location  
• BV United staff run activities and evaluate the players 
• Parents are not allowed beyond the parking lot 
• Parents are encouraged to check-in, drop-off, and return 5 minutes before completion of tryout session for their child

What should players wear to tryouts? 

• Tryout shirt with number received at check-in 
• Black or dark shorts

What should players bring to their tryout session? 

• Water 
• Properly inflated soccer ball 
• Proper soccer gear: shoes, shin guards, and soccer socks

What will happen after tryouts? 

• BV United staff and coaches form teams. 
• Team rosters are communicated. 
• Each player has the option to decline a roster spot via our email process within 48 hours.
